Miguel Urdangarin, the discreet son of Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin, has completed his university degree and is now a marine biologist.
The 21-year-old young man had been living in London for several years, fully dedicated to his studies in Marine Sciences.
The third son of Infanta Cristina is known for his discretion and, like his siblings, he avoids cameras.
Miguel Urdangarin’s Graduation
According to the Spanish magazine Vanitatis, the brother of Pablo Urdangarin studied in the United Kingdom for three years.
After completing high school at the prestigious international school Ecolint in the Swiss city, he moved to the British capital to pursue his dream of becoming an expert in marine biology.
Although he has finished his degree, his official graduation will take place between the 24th and 26th of this month.
Unlike his sister and cousin, Princess Leonor, Miguel’s graduation will not be a formal ceremony. He will be able to go for two days to collect his university degree. Therefore, his father and mother are not expected to travel to England to accompany him.
The same media reports that King Juan Carlos I has been a great supporter of his grandchildren, and in Miguel’s case, he assisted him with the expenses, which are considerable considering the higher costs of university education and living in Britain compared to Spain.
At present, it is unknown what Miguel’s next step in life will be. He may choose to return to Spain or explore other locations where he can pursue his profession or continue his academic training by pursuing a master’s degree.
For now, he has a relaxing summer ahead of him to enjoy time with his family after a challenging year for all of them, especially with the divorce of his parents. This marks the end of a painful chapter for the siblings.
