Millie Mackintosh, the star of Made in Chelsea, made a shocking revelation about her friendship with Meghan Markle. She also told details of the reasons why they stopped having contact.
Mackintosh, 33, and the 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex met about eight years ago when they were together at a hotel opening in Istanbul, Turkey.
‘I was a fan, I watched Suits, and we met at the bar and we were both ordering a drink at the same time I started chatting. We got on really well, we got on like a house on fire, and just stayed in touch.
Millie said she and Meghan bonded over their marital troubles, Millie was married to British rapper Professor Green at the time, while Meghan had split from her first husband, Trevor Engelson in 2013 after two years of marriage.
The women stayed in touch and Mackintosh went so far as to give Meghan his schedule of favorite places and contacts when the actress visited the UK. She added that the two would go out to lunch or attend yoga classes together.
The last time Mackintosh said she saw Meghan was in September 2016, when the two were photographed together during a girls’ weekend at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.

The mother-of-two caused shock when she revealed that her friendship with Meghan ended “abruptly” after the Duchess of Sussex’s romance with Prince Harry became public.

‘I never heard from her again. I felt like she’d basically told me to f**k off in that message. So I did. And we haven’t spoken since.’
She explained that for her Meghan’s attitude was related to the fact that she no longer needed her as a friend.
‘My take on it is that, this is my instinct why it happened at the time, she thought right I’m gonna be royal now, I don’t need Millie in my life.
