The professional photographer took to Instagram to praise the Duke of Sussex’s work at the Invictus Games.
“I’m so proud of this man and the incredible space of healing that is @weareinvictusgames. Countless lives have been changed through the very real sense of community that Prince Harry has built with the #invictusgames. I took this picture on the last day of last years games in The Hague. Empathy and purpose can go a long, long way,” was the text that accompanied the black and white photograph of Princess Diana’s youngest son.
Heart of Invictus is now available on Netflix, five episodes following the competitors on their journeys to compete in the Invictus 2022 Games, which were held in The Hague.
This is Prince Harry’s first major solo project with the streaming giant launched through a multi-million dollar deal that was finalized after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex parted ways with the monarchy three years ago.
The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick serving military personnel and veterans.
In the documentary, Prince Harry can be seen inspiring members of the UK team via video conference as they prepared for the 2020 games, held two years late in 2022 due to the pandemic.
“So when you’re out there kicking ass, trying to win a medal or just having fun and making your family incredibly proud, when you feel that feeling in your throat and you feel like you might want to cry, then just f%$*! cry, okay. I mean that,” exclaimed Harry.
