Naomi Campbell made a grand entrance at the 2024 Met Gala, strutting her stuff on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Wearing a stunning aqua dress with shimmering fringe designed by Burberry, Campbell dazzled the crowd with her elegant V-neck and thin straps. Her long hair was styled with a side part, and she accessorized with eye-catching emerald cut diamond earrings from the Briony Raymond Collection.
Accompanying Campbell was Daniel Lee, the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry, making for a stylish duo at the event.
This wasn’t Campbell’s first rodeo at the Met Gala; in fact, it was her 17th appearance! She last attended in 2023, sporting a salmon pink gown from the Chanel Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2010 collection.
Campbell reminisced about her past Met Gala experiences, recalling her debut in 1990 when she wore a dress by Gianni Versace. Over the years, she’s worn creations by designers like Alexander McQueen, Azzedine Alaia, and Sarah Burton, paying homage to their unique styles.
One of Campbell’s most memorable moments was at the 2019 Met Gala, where she rocked a pink chiffon ensemble by Valentino. Despite last-minute changes to her outfit, she owned the red carpet with confidence.
Reflecting on her career, Campbell shared advice from her mother: always give 110% and fully commit to whatever you do.
The 2024 Met Gala celebrates the upcoming Costume Institute exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” showcasing fashion history from the past 400 years. From May 10 to September 2, visitors can explore around 250 items at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
