The British royal family, especially the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, decided to send a Christmas greeting this December 25th by publishing a new official photo in which the little princes George, Charlotte and Louis are the protagonists.
The photo was taken by Josh Shinner during the same session that was done for the British royal family’s Christmas card. That photo caused some controversy on social media for an alleged editing error.
Some users pointed out that Prince Louis was missing a finger on his left hand, prompting numerous comments and jokes.

New photo of George, Charlotte and Louis for Christmas
With the controversy behind them, the Prince and Princess of Wales wanted to congratulate their followers with a new official photo of their three children.
The new snapshot, published on the family’s official accounts, contrasts with the formality of the previous one, which showed the five members of the family posing.
In that image, Princess Charlotte was sitting in a chair, surrounded by her parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, and her brothers George and Louis.

On this occasion, the protagonists are the children. The image shows the little ones sitting, hugging and smiling in a gesture of complicity and tenderness.
William and Kate accompanied the photo with a personal message: “Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, from our family to yours! W & C”, signed with the initials W & C, as usual when it is not a message written by their communication team.
The publication of the new photo comes a few hours after they attended the traditional service at Sandringham, along with their three children and other members of the royal family.
