Who is Ollie Plunket, Camilla’s new secretary?
Ollie Plunket is an officer of the infantry regiment of the British Army called The Rifles, of which precisely the wife of Charles III is chief colonel since 2020, when he replaced the Duke of Edinburgh in the post.
Ollie is 28 years old and is the new secretary to Queen consort Camilla. He was recently in charge of escorting some of the guests to their seats, which made many of the spectators notice his youth and good looks.
The young man was born in 1994 and belongs to a well-known Irish family. One of his ancestors was Archbishop of Dublin, while his father has a long career in the insurance company Lycetts, according to several British newspapers.
Ollie Plunket did his military training at Sandhurst Academy, the same academy from which Prince William and Prince Harry graduated, thanks to a military scholarship he obtained when he was just 16 years old. Since then, his career has been outstanding to the point of becoming Queen Camilla’s right-hand man.
Something to note about the young secretary is that, in 2012, at just 18 years old, he decided to travel more than 40,000 kilometers on a motorcycle in seven months, visiting 14 countries to raise 100,000 euros to collaborate with the Fisher House organization, which helps soldiers wounded in combat and their families.
