Omid Scobie’s new book ‘Endgame’ has sent shockwaves through the British monarchy. The royal author makes explosive claims about racism, rifts, and more.
In the tell-all book packed with shocking allegations, Scobie delves into the strained relationships plaguing the House of Windsor. The author points the finger at several royals for their alleged mistreatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Revelations in Omid Scobie’s bombshell book ‘Endgame’
Racism allegations resurface
One of the most disturbing claims resurrects Meghan’s allegation that a royal expressed concern about baby Archie’s skin color.
Scobie asserts that Meghan confided to King Charles the identities of the two royals involved, but he does not name them in the book.
If true, this would validate Harry and Meghan’s claim from their 2021 Oprah interview that an unnamed family member raised worries about Archie’s complexion.
Charles’ warning to Harry
According to Scobie, King Charles issued a warning to the royal family about his son following the publication of Harry’s memoir, Spare. The book contained embarrassing revelations about Charles and other royals.
A source says Charles warned relatives not to trust Harry in the wake of Spare’s publication. This signals the complete breakdown of the father-son relationship.
Anne drives Harry and Meghan from UK home
Scobie makes the shocking assertion that Princess Anne convinced Charles to evict Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage earlier this year. The home was a wedding gift to the Sussexes from Queen Elizabeth.
Harry allegedly pleaded with his father to keep Frogmore for visits with his children. But Princess Anne, known for her no-nonsense attitude, apparently had other ideas.
Sussex children snubbed
The book also claims that Harry and Meghan were hurt by the months-long delay in granting royal titles to Archie and Lilibet.
The titles were bestowed when Charles became king but were not updated on the royal website for six months.
In contrast, the new titles for Kate and William’s children were added almost immediately. Scobie alleges this constitutes unfair treatment of the Sussex kids.
Charles declines the christening invitation
Endgame asserts that Harry and Meghan invited King Charles to attend Lilibet’s christening in California earlier this year, but he declined due to “scheduling conflicts.”
Estrangement before the Queen’s death
According to Scobie, Harry and Meghan did not receive updates about the Queen’s failing health in her final hours. He says they were kept in the dark about the Palace’s preparations for the monarch’s passing.
If true, this exclusion indicates how distant the Sussexes had become from the royal inner circle many months before the Queen’s death.
Kate and Meghan: distanced
Meanwhile, Scobie alleges Kate and Meghan’s relationship remains non-existent. He says Kate has not exchanged a word with Meghan since 2019 and “shudders” whenever her sister-in-law comes up.
Scobie also takes aim at Kate’s work ethic, dubbing her “Katie Keen” and accusing her of only working part-time while hiding a lighter workload.
He contrasts her schedule negatively with the late Queen’s immense tally of engagements.
Close contact between Queen Camilla and Piers Morgan
Endgame also alleges that Queen Consort Camilla has a direct line to polarizing broadcaster Piers Morgan. Scobie claims that Camilla quietly thanked Morgan for his defense of the royals.
True or not, this suggests senior royals see Morgan’s attacks on Harry and Meghan as supporting their interests. Morgan denies any such contact with Camilla.
Harry seeks apology and reconciliation
However, Scobie writes that Harry now wishes to reconcile with his father and extended family. After insisting for years on an apology over his treatment, the book says Harry has decided to “forget” and move on without one.
