The tenuous relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family faced another setback with the release of Omid Scobie’s controversial book, “Endgame.”

In this explosive book, Scobie makes startling allegations that could have ruined the chances of reconciliation between the Sussex and royal families, generating more distrust and complicating the relationship between Harry and his family.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe dissected for OK! the possible negative repercussions for Harry and Meghan. Fast forward, to a grim picture of strained relations and shattered hopes for reconciliation in the wake of this literary bombshell.

The book could have ruined the chances of reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family.

Will Prince Harry disavow Omid Scobie’s book?

Scobie’s book, “Endgame,” alleges a series of bombshells, from Prince William’s attempts to upstage King Charles to claims about the Princess of Wales being dismissive and cold towards Meghan Markle’s pleas for help.

The revelations didn’t stop there, with Scobie suggesting that the King himself referred to Prince Harry as “that fool” after the release of his Netflix documentary.

These revelations, as highlighted by Duncan Larcombe, have dealt a severe blow to any progress in mending the fragile ties between the Sussexes and the royal family.

While there seemed to be a glimmer of hope with Harry and Meghan reaching out to the King for his 75th birthday and rumors of a possible Christmas invite, Larcombe argues that “Endgame” has undone any progress.

According to Larcombe, the timing of the book couldn’t be worse for Prince Harry, as it has thrust him back to square one, facing renewed pressure to distance himself from the contentious tell-all.

One of Larcombe’s central concerns revolves around the trust issues exacerbated by the book.

Despite Scobie’s claims of not being briefed by Harry and Meghan, suspicions linger, particularly regarding Meghan’s potential indirect involvement.

Larcombe asserts that the Palace is likely to view the book as having “Meghan’s fingerprints over it,” leading to heightened paranoia within the Sussexes’ inner circle.

The book’s revelations about exchanges between Charles and Meghan following the Oprah Winfrey interview, exposing alleged concerns about Archie’s skin color, have only intensified the royal family’s woes.

Royal expert emphasizes the frustration this has caused for Charles and William, reopening the wounds of the alleged royal racist incident and hindering any progress in moving past it.

As Larcombe points out, the fallout from “Endgame” may have far-reaching consequences, making it less likely for Harry to find a way back into the royal family’s good graces.

While he cautiously notes that one should never say never in matters of royal relationships, the book has undoubtedly made reconciliation less probable.

The damage inflicted by the revelations appears irreparable, leaving Harry and Meghan’s future within the royal fold uncertain.
