Recently, on May 4th, Letizia, 51, and Felipe VI,56, went to the General Military Academy of Zaragoza to honor the 40th anniversary of the King’s promotion with a ceremony where he swore allegiance to the flag for the third time.

It was a very special day for the entire family, ending with an event at the Aura restaurant, a stylish complex located in the city’s most iconic area.

The royals enjoyed the company of cadets, military families, and some of Zaragoza’s most important figures from a unique venue with breathtaking views.

From the Instagram account @leonorysofiaaltezasreales, known for sharing information and images of the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía, an unseen snapshot of the Royals was revealed.

It captures Letizia, Leonor, and Felipe engaged in conversation with some guests, with everyone appearing attentive and cheerful.

Moreover, during this “reception with drinks and a seated meal,” as reported by ‘Semana’ magazine, Felipe is seen sharing a loving and conspiratorial glance with Letizia.

The restaurant’s social media channels posted, “Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting a visit from the royal family to our establishment. A memorable day! Thank you for trusting our team. It will always be a pleasure to welcome you.”

This private event, confirmed by the Royals after being organized, featured drinks and a seated meal.

They arrived in their private vehicles, unlike other guests who came by bus.

The Queen, Felipe, and Leonor were undoubtedly the center of attention. “They were very friendly, approachable with everyone. It was requested that no distinctions be made,” reported the aforementioned media outlet.

Letizia, Felipe, and Leonor enjoyed the spacious and open atmosphere. In fact, the venue’s website boasts of its column-free space to ensure every detail is visible from every corner.

“This is a 900-square-meter hall with seating for 700 guests at round tables and around 1000 at combined tables,” revealed witnesses.

What did the King and Queen eat in Zaragoza?

As for the menu enjoyed by all guests, the restaurant shared, “It was a fixed menu due to the large number of people.

Aragonese wines were served. The main courses included hake and prawn cannelloni with American sauce, as well as beef cheeks in garnacha sauce, a red wine sauce.

For dessert, a single dish of brioche French toast with white chocolate was offered.

That day was the last time Queen Letizia was seen wearing heels.

    Queen Letizia’s injury

The Queen recently disclosed that she is suffering from an injury to the proximal phalanx of the central toe of her right foot, a setback caused by a domestic accident that has exacerbated her foot condition.

In fact, the restaurant revealed that Letizia once again demonstrated her strength and endurance, as she did not request any special seating or stool to rest and alleviate her pain despite knowing about her injury.

“The Queen did not ask for any stool or chair. We didn’t realize how much foot pain she had,” they recounted.

This injury adds to one of the Queen’s major concerns, as she suffers from Morton’s neuroma, a condition that affects the metatarsal of the foot and involves pinching of the interdigital nerve.

Asked at the doors of the Teatro Real, Letizia and Leonor’s mother expressed that it has been “bad luck, but this heals. I didn’t know what was wrong until I had an X-ray.” Undoubtedly, a setback for which she should rest.
