Despite years passing since Princess Diana’s passing, her friends and family continue to remember her with admiration and affection.
Recently, Charles Spencer, her brother, shared an emotional photo of the place where the princess’s remains rest.
The location is an island situated in the center of Oval Lake, within the secluded grounds of Althorp House in Northamptonshire, England. This serene spot serves as the final resting place for the mother of William and Harry.
According to Tatler, it has become one of Charles’s favorite places—a tranquil spot for reflection and peaceful moments with his late sister.

Charles posted an enigmatic photo of the island on his Instagram account. Everything appears relatively normal, except for the dense morning fog that envelops the lake.
His caption reads: “Misty start to the day, at @althorphouse.”
Princess Diana’s body rests on the grounds of her childhood home, Althorp Estate, breaking a millennia-old tradition of the Spencer family, who typically find their eternal rest at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Great Brington.

The Spencer family chose to bury Diana there to ensure the privacy and security of her tomb, allowing family members and other visitors to pay their respects in a peaceful and protected setting.
This isn’t the first time Charles has shared a photo of Diana’s eternal resting place, but it still generates dozens of reactions from users on social media who fondly remember the princess. She would have turned 63 on July 1st.
Among the comments on the photo one could read:
