The most prominent news of the week was the alleged romance between Queen Letizia and her ex-brother-in-law, Jaime del Burgo.
On Sunday, December 4, the 53-year-old businessman made several posts on his X account that caused a strong reaction on social media.
Although he deleted them hours after posting them, the damage was already done.
Del Burgo posted a photo of Queen Letizia with a scarf and a dedication purportedly written by her.
In addition to revealing intimate details of his relationship with the consort, which he said had lasted more than a year while Letizia was already married to Felipe.

The controversy has intensified with the publication of a photo that allegedly confirms the extramarital relationship of Queen Letizia and Jaime del Burgo.
The Catalan newspaper El Nacional, a critic of the Queen, has published a photo that would prove that there was a relationship between the lovers.
The newspaper cites a Spanish program that published the book by journalist Jaime Peñafiel, which also deals with the controversial romance between the Queen and her ex-brother-in-law.
The text includes a photo of Letizia and her alleged lover in New York in 2011, when she allegedly cheated on Felipe. Allegedly, they had planned to move to the city after a possible divorce.
In the picture, the Queen appears wearing a thick sweater, a cap and sunglasses, trying to go unnoticed and not be recognized by the many Spanish tourists in New York.
Next to her, Jaime del Burgo wore one of his beloved blue pashminas around his neck.
The newspaper also laments the lack of coverage of the scandal in the Spanish media, citing an alleged self-censorship on their part, similar to what happened in the United Kingdom with the controversy surrounding Prince William’s alleged relationship with Rose Hanbury.
However, it is important to note that this news is still considered a rumor and there is no concrete evidence to prove this alleged relationship.
There has also been no official statement from the Royal Household on the matter.
