James, Earl of Wessex By Robert Marquez

James Mountbatten-Windsor: this is how the lesser-known grandson of Queen Elizabeth II has grown up

James Mountbatten-Windsor, Viscount Severn, has been rarely seen. Although he is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth and cousin of William and Harry, this member of the British royal family remains quite distant from his particular family.

This estrangement is not his own decision. The 14-year-old has no titles and is not an active member of The Firm, as the British monarchy is known. By decision of his parents, Prince Edward, the Queen’s last son, and his wife Sophie of Wessex, both he and his sister, Lady Louise, have distanced themselves from the spotlight of the world’s press.

However, although it is not common to see him very often, new photographs have been released this week showing just how big he is already. James is the last grandson of Queen Elizabeth and the youngest son of the Earls of Wessex, her sister; Lady Louise is a little more famous as she has taken on a more active role for the royal family in recent years.

In this appearance of the young man he could be seen with his sister and parents. The most recent photos of James Mountbatten-Windsor are of the young man enjoying the Commonwealth Games.
