Princess Leonor has begun her new military stage at the Naval Military Academy of Pontevedra, thus beginning a significant chapter in her life.
This Thursday, August 29, the future queen arrived at her new destination, continuing her academic training after her time at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, following in the footsteps of her father, King Felipe VI.
Since her arrival, the Princess has made a great impression, wearing an impeccable white uniform and showing a radiant smile.
Unlike last year, her parents did not accompany her on this occasion to see her off, something that did not seem to affect her mood or confidence.

At 18 years of age, Leonor has demonstrated a remarkable ability to function in the public sphere, participating in numerous official acts alone.
At her reception, she greeted the officers and her new classmates with ease, which is reflected in the photographs published by the Royal Household.
After the welcome, the Princess changed into her working uniform, which consists of a white short-sleeved shirt, straight black pants, and cap, and took a tour of the academy’s facilities.
Showing her interest and enthusiasm, she was attentive to the explanations of one of the officers about the various activities carried out at the institution.
With a positive attitude and eagerness to excel, Leonor is ready to face the challenges that will be presented to her in this new stage of her military training, thus marking an important step in her preparation to assume her future role in the Spanish Crown.
