The Royal Household has released new images of Princess Leonor during her training on the frigate Blas de Lezo, one of the Spanish Navy’s most modern vessels.
Dressed in naval uniform, the heiress is seen participating in maneuvers, attending theory classes, and sharing everyday moments with her fellow midshipmen.
This intensive phase of her training, which began on June 14 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and lasted 19 days, marks a turning point in her military preparation as it includes live-fire exercises.
During her stay on board, Leonor took on operational tasks and played an active role in collective learning.
In the ship’s classrooms, she was just another student, standing in front of them to present content as part of her training.
The images reveal a more intimate side of the princess, who has forged bonds with her classmates in a demanding environment full of camaraderie.
The frigate Blas de Lezo, with a capacity for more than 200 people, has offered Leonor a complete experience of life on board.
She has shared a cabin, guard duty, and common tasks in an environment that also includes air units and marine detachments.
The stage on the frigate will end on July 3. From then on, Leonor will return to the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano, which she will rejoin during a stopover in Gijón after the ship’s return from New York.
