Last September 28, during her visit to the ‘CIFP Aguas Nuevas de Albacete’, Queen Letizia did not return to La Zarzuela empty-handed, as she received a very special portrait.
That day the consort of Spain went to preside over the opening of the 2022/2023 Vocational Training Course. There she visited the Renewable Energy Workshop and the Wood and Furniture Classroom-Workshop, and it was there that she received a portrait of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.
Portrait of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia
Specifically, the Queen of Spain has received a wooden painting that reproduces one of the official photographs that the royal house made public in early 2020. It is a picture of her daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia. The person in charge of the carpentry workshop was in charge of giving the gift to the Queen, who could not hide her joy.
The astonished queen has taken the painting in which her daughters Leonor and Sofia appear to examine it carefully, and has expressed to all present her gratitude for the nice detail. “Come on, thank you very much. I like it very much”.
The official photographs that served as inspiration for the portrait were taken by Estela de Castro. In it, Princess Leonor appears dressed in pink, while her sister is dressed in blue.
