Prince Andrew could be very close to being stripped of his duchy after the queen eliminated his royal patronages and military titles.
A source close to the British royal family told the Daily Mail that Prince Charles was the first to push for his brother to lose his titles, claiming Andrew had “run out of steam” amid the controversy over sexual abuse of a minor.
“To have a member of the Royal Family using their title while they go to court to defend themselves against those kinds of allegations is obviously unacceptable.”
Prince Andrew may lose the Title of the Duke of York?
While the prince was stripped of his royal Sar name, military titles and patronages, he still retains his royal title as Duke of York y los british citizens are calling for Andrew to be removed as Duke of York and for the security of taxpayer-funded Scotland Yard to be taken away.
This title was granted after his marriage to his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson in 1986. The Queen has reportedly hesitated to take it away, as it was a distinction also held by her father, Prince George VI.
It should be remembered that Prince Harry was immediately denied his taxpayer-funded security when they resigned from royalty in 2020.
It's untenable for the Duke of York to cling onto his title another day longer; this association with York must end. There's a very serious allegation made against this man of privilege & entitlement. I'm working with agencies to tackle sexual violence & misogyny. #NotInYorksName

For the time being, the prince will continue to face allegations of sexual abuse, which he has strongly denied.
