12 million Pounds (about 14 million Euros). That’s the amount Prince Andrew will have to pay Virginia Giuffre to avoid a sexual abuse trial in the United States.
On Tuesday, Andres and Virginia Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement. According to the ‘Daily Mail’, the exorbitant sum of money will also come out of the pocket of Queen Elizabeth II, who has decided to help her son.
The out-of-court settlement was the Duke of York’s last resort to get rid of having to go to trial and overshadow the celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s jubilee.
According to the agreement, neither Andres nor Virginia can speak publicly about the case or what was agreed. What was openly communicated is that the Queen’s son will pay a sum of money to giuffre’s charity to help victims of sexual abuse.
No comment has been made from Buckingham Palace about it, although several British newspapers already take for granted the economic aid of Elizabeth II to Prince Andrew. It should be noted that the Duke of York receives 24,000 euros per year in pension as a veteran of the Royal Navy.
