An ace up his sleeve would have Prince Andrew to dismiss the trial that will take him to the American justice.
Queen Elizabeth’s son, who was forced to retire from public life in 2019 when his connection to the Epstein case became known and the complaint against him by Virginia Giuffre, who accuses him of having sex when she was a minor, seems to have found a weak point and will attack with everything to clear his name.
The defense lawyers of Prince Charles‘ brother will take as a weak point the place of residence of one of the complainants. As it was known Virginia Giuffre would not live on American soil but in Australia, so the New York court would not have jurisprudence on the case so they seek its annulment.
According to the court document filed by Andrew Brettler, the prince’s lawyer, he alleges that there is “recently discovered evidence” suggesting that the New York court has no jurisdiction because the complainant is required to reside in one of the U.S. states.
In the document presented by the lawyer, he also adds that Virginia Giuffre has more ties with Australia than with the United States, where she resides with her husband and children. In addition, the jurist alleges that the complainant had not lived in the United States since 2019, two years before filing her complaint against the prince. If this is proven, the entire investigation against the father of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would be annulled.
