This Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Queen Letizia met with Prince Charles in an official act that marked the return of the Spanish monarch to England a few days after attending the mass in honor of the late Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The meeting between the Prince of Wales and the Queen Consort was aimed at the inauguration of the Spanish Gallery of Bishop Auckland, the only gallery in the United Kingdom dedicated exclusively to the art, history and culture of Spain, an event that took place at Auckland Castle, located in County Durham.

Kiss from Prince Charles to Queen Letizia
The heir to the British throne and the Spanish Queen made an unusual display of affection. Upon her arrival, the wife of King Felipe was greeted by Prince Charles at the entrance of Auckland Castle, the son of Queen Elizabeth greeted her with two kisses, one on each cheek and took her hand to give her another subtle kiss on the knuckles, a total gesture of gallantry and that makes clear the good relationship that exists between the two representatives of their respective royal houses.
These gestures between them are not new, in fact, although the queen usually limits herself to a handshake, she does not spare affection when it comes to Prince Charles. This complicity was seen at the event they both attended together in 2019, where they greeted each other with kisses and hugs.
