Prince George is celebrating his 11th birthday, and to mark this special occasion, a brand new portrait of him has been shared by his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
This fresh image, captured by Princess Kate earlier this month in Windsor, follows a charming royal tradition.
Every year since George was a baby, the Prince and Princess of Wales have shared portraits to celebrate his birthday.
New Portrait Marks Prince George’s 11th Birthday
In the new black-and-white portrait, Prince George looks quite dapper in a dark blazer paired with a crisp white shirt.
Observant fans may spot a friendship-style bracelet on his left wrist in the Instagram Stories version of the photo—perhaps a keepsake from his exciting evening at Taylor Swift’s concert in London last June.
His parents posted the photo on social media with a sweet message: “Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!”
This photo tradition continued this year for Charlotte’s 9th birthday and Louis’ 6th birthday, following the controversial edited Mother’s Day photo.
The latest birthday portrait photos have been taken by Princess Kate, who announced her cancer treatment at the end of March.
While Prince George’s birthday is likely to be a private family affair, he has made several public appearances recently.
He joined the royal family for Trooping the Colour, the annual celebration of the British monarch’s birthday, on June 15.
On June 21, he attended a Taylor Swift concert with his dad and sister, where they even took a selfie with the pop star.
Most recently, on July 14, George was seen at the UEFA European Championship soccer game between England and Spain, alongside Prince William.
