Despite being prominent members of the British royal family, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are, at heart, children just like any other.
This reality was highlighted recently when Prince William shared details of his children’s family dynamics, revealing that, like many siblings, they can have their differences and conflicts at home.
During a visit to young students at a BAFTA event, the Prince of Wales spoke about the interactions between his children.
Prince George, Charlotte, and Louis’ Fights
Speaking to students at the National Film and Television School, William mentioned that the variety of streaming platforms available has led to frequent fights in his household.
George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, are always wrestling for the remote due to the sheer amount of content now available.
“Always wrestling for the remote,” Prince William said.
In 2022, Prince William said Prince George was a fan of video games, but that he and Princess Kate were “trying to regulate” their screen time.
In an earlier revelation in 2021 during Time to Walk, William also shared that his children share a passion for music.
He noted that Prince George loves rock music, but that they can’t always agree on what songs to listen to in the morning before school.
According to the prince, most mornings there is an argument between Charlotte and George about their musical preferences.
To manage these disputes, Kate and William have implemented a practical solution: each child has their own day to choose the music they want to listen to.
This strategy not only helps to reduce fighting but also promotes a sense of fairness between the siblings.
Prince William’s revelations show that despite their royal status, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis experience the same family dynamics as many other children.
Their petty rivalries and moments of conflict are a reminder that, at heart, they are simply siblings navigating life together.
