Prince George, the son of Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton, could be about to take on a more active role in the British monarchy.

Although he is only 11 years old, some experts believe he could become the youngest member of the Royal House of Windsor to hold official duties.

Despite his young age, Prince George is on the cusp of a major promotion that will lead him to participate in significant royal events in the not-too-distant future.

According to Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II, she would not be surprised to see Prince George alongside his mother at ceremonies such as Remembrance Sunday.

She commented to People Magazine, “I’m sure there will be a time in the not-too-distant future when Prince George will be up there.”

During Remembrance weekend, Princess Kate, 42, made a grand return to her public duties by attending the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, accompanied by Prince William and other members of the royal family.

Speaking about the Princess of Wales’ attendance, Ailsa added: “She looked happy and relaxed. She must be fully aware that people might have noticed any show of discomfort, but she was glowing, actually.”

Ailsa also noted that events like Remembrance Day are “key dates in the Royal Family calendar” and that it was certainly a “comfort” for Prince William to have his wife by his side.

“It was quite poignant having just her and the Duchess of Edinburgh on the balcony. It brought it home to me how slimmed down the monarchy is,” she commented.

Prince George and his siblings often accompany their parents to certain royal events.

For example, Prince William took George as a special guest to the highly anticipated UEFA European Championship final in Germany, while Princess Charlotte was with her mother, Princess Kate, at Wimbledon.

All indications are that George will take a more active role in the royals.

The idea of a reduced monarchy proposed by King Charles has not worked out well for him, especially because of his health problems, coupled with Kate’s, which have caused them both to step away from important responsibilities.

So, with the current scenario, it is likely that George a greater role in the future of the royal family.

Without a doubt, Prince George is beginning to take his first steps in the royal world, and we will all be watching his evolution in the British royal family. The future looks promising for this young prince.
