Prince Harry returned to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, an event that celebrates the spirit and resilience of wounded war veterans.
His trip, which he made from Montecito where he currently resides, was made alone, unaccompanied by his wife Meghan Markle and his children.
There is speculation that Harry is seeking to reconcile with his family in light of his relatives’ recent health problems.
Following King Charles’ announcement of his cancer diagnosis in February and Kate Middleton’s similar revelation in March, the Duke of Sussex is looking to repair relations with certain members of the royal family, including Kate.
The Princess of Wales, who is undergoing treatment for an oncological illness, would be open to meeting her brother-in-law under certain conditions.
However, according to royal expert Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine, a meeting between the two would only take place at the request of a higher authority, specifically if King Charles III deemed it appropriate.
Seward believes it is unlikely that the King, described as a sensitive and compassionate person, would impose such a meeting at an inopportune time.
At this time, there is no confirmation as to whether the meeting between Harry and Kate will take place.
If it does happen, it is expected to coincide with a trip by Prince William to Cornwall, where he is scheduled to fulfill official engagements.
