In recent days, Meghan Markle’s absence at various events where Prince Harry has been present has sparked endless speculation.
The Duke of Sussex has maintained a very active schedule, which recently took him to New York to fulfill several commitments, and then to England to attend the WellChild Awards.
As a patron of the organization, a role he has held for 16 years, Harry had the opportunity to meet the winners and their families at a reception prior to the main event.
The prince then traveled to Lesotho, Africa, where he is currently engaged in various activities related to his charity, Sentebale.
However, his wife, Meghan Markle, has been absent from all of these royal engagements. This situation has fueled rumors of a possible marital crisis between the couple.
However, a close source spoke about what is really going on between them and confirmed the separation of Prince Harry and Meghan, at least on the work level.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s separation
Meghan’s absence has its origin in a different work approach.
According to People magazine, both have decided to undertake independent projects that reflect a significant change in their public life.
While Harry is dedicated to philanthropic initiatives, Meghan is focused on her business and commercial projects, including the upcoming launch of her Netflix show and her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
In addition, Meghan continues to care for their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
“The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track,” the insider says.
Although their directions may seem divergent, the two continue to collaborate on shared initiatives, such as the Archewell Foundation.
Experts suggest that this individual approach by the couple does not signify an estrangement, but a natural evolution in their careers.
Is Prince Harry Better Off on His Own?
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward has noted that Harry is increasingly comfortable with solo engagements, stating that he “knows he is better on his own.”
According to Seward, it didn’t make sense for Meghan to accompany him on his trip to Lesotho, as Harry excels at such activities on his own.
She told GB News: “There’s no sign of Meghan because I think Harry knows that he does these things better on his own. I mean, there’s no point in him taking Meghan to Lesotho.
“Harry, or maybe his advisers have said to him, you need to raise your own profile and do it by doing what you do best, which is working with children and the disadvantaged. He’s always been brilliant at that.”
This strategy reportedly seeks to take attention away from celebrity culture and reposition Harry as a “serious philanthropic actor” rather than divert attention to Meghan’s presence or her outfit.
“Much better for him to do it without his wife,” she added.
Although Meghan Markle’s absences have generated rumors of a crisis in their marriage, the reality seems to be that both she and Harry are in a phase of individual professional growth that, however, does not obstruct their collaboration on various initiatives.
Their trajectories remain intertwined, suggesting that they are building a working life that respects their individual identities and their commitments as a couple.
