Next November 14, King Charles of England will celebrate his 75th birthday with a discreet party at his London residence, Clarence House, and although there are several guests, many are wondering if Prince Harry will be one of them.
Harry and Meghan have been involved in several scandals that have affected the image of the British royal family, such as the interview they gave to Oprah Winfrey in which they accused some members of the monarchy of racism and lack of support.
They have also signed lucrative deals with platforms such as Netflix and Spotify, which has led to criticism from some quarters who accuse them of exploiting their fame.
Prince Harry at King Charles’ birthday?
The monarch’s next birthday is sure to be a big event attended by his closest family and friends, but not his youngest son, Prince Harry.
According to British media (The Sunday Times), the Duke of Sussex would have declined the invitation from his father, with whom he has maintained a distant relationship since he decided to give up his royal duties and move to the United States with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Despite these conflicts, there had been speculation that Harry would return to the UK for his father’s birthday, and it was even rumored that he was looking to buy a house there.
However, these reports seem to have been disproved with the news that Harry will not attend the celebration of Charles, who was also unable to see him when the prince traveled to England in September to attend the tribute to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the anniversary of her death.
This confirms the estrangement between father and son, who have barely communicated for months.
It is not known if Harry intends to reconcile with his father or if he will continue to maintain a firm stance on his personal and professional decisions.
