Prince Harry’s battle with hair loss has once again become a topic of discussion, this time thanks to his former hairdresser, Sam McKnight.
The renowned stylist, who once worked with the late Princess Diana, has publicly advised the Duke of Sussex to accept his receding hairline and follow in his brother Prince William’s footsteps by shaving it all off.
Prince Harry Balding
Taking to Instagram, McKnight reminisced about the days when both Harry and William had thick, healthy hair, much like their mother’s.
“It’s time, Harry!” he wrote, recalling how he used to style their hair when they were young.
Over the years, however, Harry’s once-lush locks have significantly thinned, and McKnight humorously noted that his own hair had suffered the same fate.
Rather than fighting the inevitable, McKnight believes a clean, close-cropped look would be the best option for the prince.
“A good short clip at the barbers, like your big brother, would look sharp and clean—and take years off that handsome face.”
He even suggested that if Harry truly wanted to hold onto his signature red hair, a modern hair transplant could be an option, emphasizing that procedures today look far more natural than they did in the past.
“No need for a quick EasyJet trip to Turkey—you’re in California, where they have the best!”
Hair loss is something Prince Harry has long been aware of, especially given his family’s history. His father, King Charles, and older brother, Prince William, both experienced significant balding at a young age and here at RoyalFamily.News, we have reviewed it.
However, Harry has often made light of the situation, even joking about William’s hair loss in his controversial memoir, Spare, calling it “alarming.”
Despite his jokes, reports suggest that Harry has attempted to address the issue in the past.
In 2020, he was reportedly seen at the prestigious Philip Kingsley Trichological Clinic in London, known for treating high-profile clients with hair-thinning concerns.
Experts, like Dr. Asim Shahmalak, have noted that Harry’s bald patch has almost doubled in size since his marriage to Meghan Markle in 2018.
While some men struggle with the emotional toll of hair loss, others embrace it.
Prince William, for instance, opted for a buzz cut in 2018, reportedly spending £180 on the sharp new look.
For now, whether Harry chooses to shave it all off or explore hair restoration options remains to be seen.
