Prince Harry celebrated his 39th birthday with his wife Meghan Markle in Germany on Friday 15 September, in the middle of the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014.
Although he enjoyed a special dinner at a German restaurant the night before, the prince did not receive any public congratulations from the British royal family.
Since Harry and Meghan renounced their duties to the monarchy, relations with the royal family have taken a nosedive, especially in light of controversial revelations made by Prince Charles’ son against his family, particularly his brother Prince William.
Prince Harry Birthday greetings
Despite the differences within the royal family, there is a more significant reason for the absence of birthday wishes for Prince Harry that goes beyond the problems between them.
In the past, the Duke of Sussex’s birthday has traditionally been celebrated on the royal family’s official social media accounts.
However, neither @RoyalFamily nor @KensingtonPalace, the joint account of Prince William and Kate Middleton, nor any other account posted anything related to the subject.
After the accession of King Charles, birthday celebrations on social media were reserved for working members of the royal family and some of their children.
As a result, Harry did not receive any public messages from his family, although it is possible that his cousins and even his father may have sent him private wishes.
