In a new interview, Prince Harry has provided a treasured update on the development of his two young children with Meghan Markle: Archie, age 4, and Lilibet, age 2.
As the couple have been intentional about shielding their kids from excessive public scrutiny, any details directly from Harry and Meghan are warmly welcomed by royal watchers.
What did Prince Harry say about his children?
Speaking to Good Morning America while promoting his work with the Invictus Games, Harry shared that Archie and Lilibet are “doing great” and “growing up like all kids do, very very fast.”
He revealed they both have “an incredible sense of humor” and consistently “make us laugh and keep us grounded.”
The doting dad concluded by saying he feels “very grateful to be a dad.”
These new remarks provide a rare peek into the Sussex children’s development since the couple moved to California in 2020.
Harry and Meghan have included some home footage and photos of Archie and Lilibet in projects like their Netflix documentary, but have largely kept their family life very private.
However, Harry has been more open about his eagerness to start a family. In his memoir Spare, he wrote extensively about wanting to have children of his own and not to repeat the mistakes he feels were made in his own upbringing.
After meeting Meghan in 2016, they wed in 2018 and welcomed Archie in 2019, followed by Lilibet in 2021.
So while Archie and Lilibet remain mostly out of view, Harry’s latest comments offer fans a heartwarming glance into their tight-knit family of four.
