Prince Harry had an eventful return to the United States. The son of Princess Diana suffered an accident when he fell off his horse while playing a polo match with his team Los Padres in Santa Barbara, California.
Queen Elizabeth’s grandson was returning to his passion for equestrian sports after a trip with his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and their children Archie and Lilibet to England, where they had a brief participation in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s 70th year on the throne.
Prince Harry falls off his horse
The incident of Prince Harry, 37, occurred last Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, according to the New York Post, the match was not attended by Meghan.
The Duke of Sussex fell off the horse during the match and fortunately had no major consequences other than the hard blow. Harry, in addition to leaving the match bruised, was also defeated as his team lost the match 12-11.
Media such as the Daily Mail published some images showing Archie and Lilibet’s dad on the floor after the fall.
This is not the first fall of the Duke of Sussex, Harry accumulates a long history of blows in this sport, of which both he and his brother William, are recognized fans. On one occasion he even broke his arm and on another he ended up spending the night in the hospital after falling during a charity match.
The son of Prince Charles did not take the day badly and was seen chatting animatedly with some friends, including singer Katharine McPhee and her husband, composer David Foster.
