Prince Harry has reappeared in public after several weeks of media absence.
The Duke of Sussex was photographed leaving a gym in Santa Barbara, California, last Tuesday morning, reports Daily Mail.
His appearance came a day before the announcement of two surgical operations affecting his royal family: that of his father, King Charles III, and that of his sister-in-law, Princess Kate Middleton.
According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles will undergo surgery next week for benign prostatic hyperplasia, a common condition in older men that causes urinary problems.
Princess Kate, meanwhile, has undergone a planned abdominal surgery that will keep her away from her official engagements for the next three months.
Prince Harry in California
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
The couple gave up their royal duties in 2020 and moved to the U.S., where they have signed lucrative deals with Netflix.

But their relationship with the British crown remains strained, especially after the publication of a new biography that reveals the late Queen Elizabeth II’s anger over the use of the nickname Lilibet for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter.
According to author Robert Hardman, the monarch did not give her consent for Harry and Meghan to use the name, which was the affectionate diminutive she was called by her father, her husband and some of her closest friends.
Prince Harry was wearing a black jacket and black shorts when he was snapped by the paparazzi.
His face showed a serious and worried expression, perhaps reflecting the difficulties his family is going through, both personally and institutionally.
