The British royal family has been in the headlines for the past few months over the health of King Charles and Kate Middleton.
On January 17, the British Royal House announced that Charles III would have to undergo surgery for a benign prostate tumor.
Then on February 5, Buckingham Palace, through an official statement, informed that Charles III had been diagnosed with cancer.
Charles III began a regular treatment program and postponed his public duties.
He has only been seen conducting state business and official business at Buckingham Palace.
But the most delirious concern for observers was that of Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales was the subject of rumors, speculation and conspiracy theories.
Social media was abuzz with talk of the “disappearance of Kate Middleton.”
Prince William’s wife underwent a “scheduled abdominal operation” on January 16 and had not been seen in public since December 25 2023.
It wasn’t until March 22 that Kate appeared in a video revealing to the world that she was also diagnosed with cancer.
Like the King, the type of cancer Middleton is suffering from has not been revealed, but it is known that she began a “preventive chemotherapy” treatment at the end of February.
All this gale of bad news has invaded the British Royal Family that was already making headlines for the continuous disagreements between William, Kate, Harry and Meghan.
Now new hope is emerging, as speculation mounts about the possibility of a reunion between the siblings and sisters-in-law, in the midst of the health problems that plague the family.
Prince Harry returns to the UK in May
The relationship between the Waleses and the Sussexes has been strained for years, with tensions escalating following the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” in 2023.
Despite recent gestures of goodwill from Harry and Meghan in the wake of Kate’s cancer diagnosis, sources close to William and Kate suggest that a reconciliation is unlikely during Harry’s upcoming visit.
According to reports, the Prince and Princess of Wales are primarily focused on supporting each other and their three children during this challenging time.
With both Kate and King Charles battling cancer, the “Harry problem” is not a priority for them at the moment.
William’s primary concern is to ensure the privacy and protection of his family, a responsibility he has always taken seriously.
However, some experts believe that Kate’s cancer diagnosis could pave the way for the resolution of the long-standing feud between the two couples.
PR expert Ryan McCormick stated to The Mirror that the gravity of the situation might be significant enough to melt away long-held grievances, as “family is family.”
During Harry’s recent visit to the UK following King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, no reconciliation took place between the brothers.
The Duke of Sussex spent around 45 minutes at Clarence House with his father, while Meghan and their children remained in California.
It is still uncertain whether a reunion between the Welsh and Sussexes will take place during Harry’s visit in May, but this would be the opportunity for healing and reconciliation, in the midst of adversity.
