The return of the irreverent British show Spitting Image has not gone unnoticed, and Prince Harry has been one of the first to receive his dose of satirical humor.
In the first episode of the new series, titled “The Rest Is Bulls!t,” the Duke of Sussex is portrayed as a talentless podcaster, accompanied by a Paddington Bear puppet and embroiled in situations as absurd as they are hilarious.
Spitting Image Roasts Prince Harry’s New Life in California
The clip shows a caricatured Harry who claims to have turned to podcasting because he has no other notable skills.
His life in California, away from the royal family and under the Montecito sun, serves as the backdrop for jokes that include an imaginary butler in charge of making his breakfast, sessions with an “accountability coach,” and confessions he hides from Meghan.
He even pokes fun at his estrangement from his father, King Charles III, with a scene in which he pleads over the phone: “Speak directly to me, daddy, please?”
The series, now led by comedians Al Murray and Matt Forde, seeks to recapture the biting tone that made it famous between 1984 and 1996.
In this new phase, Spitting Image targets figures of power and popular culture, sparing no exaggeration to provoke laughter and debate.
Although Meghan Markle was not included in this episode, it is not ruled out that future episodes will also target her.
