Prince Harry has found a completely different life in California, away from the formality and responsibilities that came with his role in the British royal family.
Since he and Meghan Markle moved to the west coast of the United States in 2021, Harry has adopted a more relaxed lifestyle, where he combines his philanthropic work with the Archewell Foundation with more entertaining hobbies, such as surfing.
And it was precisely enjoying this sport that he was recently captured.

The Duke of Sussex was spotted taking on the waves at Kelly Slater’s famous Surf Ranch, a surf resort located in Leemore, California, known for its perfect artificial waves.
In a video that pro surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer shared on Instagram, Harry can be seen gliding over the water, clearly excited as he practices one of his favorite hobbies.
“In tahiti, we still call you Prince harry but at surfranch, it’s my Brother,” Van Bastolaer wrote, showing the closeness he has developed with the prince. The surfer also added that it was an honor to share those waves with him and Kelly Slater.
The images show Harry concentrating as he prepares to surf. Mounted on the board and with the assistance of Van Bastolaer, who was filming him from a jet ski, Harry gets ready to tackle an approaching wave.
Although he wobbles at first, he quickly finds his balance and, with his friend’s guidance, manages to surf the wave for almost a minute.
This love of surfing didn’t come out of nowhere. It was reportedly Meghan who decided to surprise Harry with surfing lessons for his 36th birthday, a gift he has clearly taken advantage of ever since.
Now, whenever she can, she escapes to this famous spot, where the waves are world-renowned by the World Surf League, being perfect for competitions.
The warm California weather seems to have suited Harry, who enjoys outdoor activities. In addition to surfing, he has also been spotted riding his bike on Surfrider Beach in Malibu, one of the most popular destinations in the area.
