Since his birth, Prince Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, has been treated as Her Royal Highness, which distinguishes him as a member of the British royal family.

However, after he announced his intention to stop working for the monarchy, some royal fans called for them to be stripped of their royal treatment, including their titles. Something that finally happened.

On the royal family website they have made some adjustments after the death of Queen Elizabeth and one of them is related to the position occupied by the son of King Charles III.

According to the update, Harry will no longer be known as  “HRH”, although he will retain his princely status.

They will now be referred to as “Harry, Duke of Sussex” and “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” rather than “Their Royal Highnesses.”

This decision has been considered a historic milestone in the British monarchy, as it represents a form of modernization and updating of royal customs.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace and distributed by the Express newspaper noted that updating the entire royal website could take time, this was in reference to the fact that until recently indicated that Queen Elizabeth was still the head of the royal family, Charles was the Prince of Wales or Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

“The Royal Family website contains over five thousand pages of information about the life and work of the Royal Family. Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the content is regularly reviewed and updated. Until this process is complete, some content may be out of date,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

In any case, it is clear that Harry and Meghan’s retirement from their roles as active members of the royal family has had a significant impact on their status and public recognition.
