Prince Harry surprised his followers with a video appearance shared on social media on Thursday, September 5.

The 39-year-old Harry had not been seen in public since his visit to Colombia, where he and Meghan Markle took part in a four-day series of events focused on women’s empowerment, internet safety, and the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry’s video was posted by the official Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 account on the X platform.

The video features narration by Patrick Lévis, who competed in the 2022 Invictus Games in The Hague.

“Sport has the ability to heal, to change lives, and to save lives. For so many of these competitors, getting to the start line can be one of the hardest moments of their life. But at the Games, their lives are changed,” Prince Harry said in the video.

When the Invictus Games will be held

The next Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, in February 2025, where winter sports will be introduced for the first time, including alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton, and wheelchair curling.

Last February, Harry and Meghan kicked off the countdown to these games during their visit to British Columbia, where the Duke of Sussex also had the opportunity to try out some of the new winter sports.

Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 to offer service members and veterans the opportunity to participate in an international tournament of adapted sports, facilitating their healing process.

Since its inception, the Invictus Games has grown to become a global phenomenon, positively impacting the lives of soldiers and their families in numerous countries.
