Prince Louis just turned seven and this time the public celebration had a different touch.
No more posing for the camera. This time, William and Kate shared a short video where their youngest son is natural, curious and full of energy.
Prince Louis Birthday Video
The recording, posted on the official social media of the Prince and Princess of Wales, shows Louis outdoors, exploring a fallen log as if it were an obstacle course.
At one point, he looks at it, thinks about it and says without hesitation, “I can jump down from here.” Then he jumps. It’s that simple. And that charming.

The clip appears to have been filmed the same day as the official photo, also shared that Wednesday.
In the image, Louis appears in a dark green sweater, white shirt and jeans. He smiles with the innocence of one who is beginning to say goodbye to early childhood. His two front teeth are missing, but new ones are already showing.
The author of the photo was Josh Shinner, a photographer that the family has already chosen on other occasions.
The curious thing is that until now the birthdays of William and Kate’s children had been commemorated with portraits, never with video.
This small change showed a little more of Louis’ character. He is seen playful, posing amused, walking around the trunk with balance and approaching the camera with a mischievous expression.
Louis is currently at the end of Year Two at Lambrook, his private school in Berkshire. He is nearing the end of his pre-high school years in the British school system.
