Louis of Wales By Robert Marquez

Prince Louis has not yet done what Prince Archie did

Prince Louis, the third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, is the only one of the three who has yet to make his first royal tour abroad.

His older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, already participated in international tours when they were babies.

Prince Louis has yet to go on his first international royal tour

George accompanied his parents to Australia and New Zealand when he was just 9 months old, as did his dad when he accompanied Diana and Charles decades ago.

Charlotte also traveled with the royal family to Canada when she was 16 months old. However, due to restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Louis was unable to travel abroad as a baby.

Harry and Meghan’s son Archie was able to take part in a tour to South Africa before his parents left the royal family.

But his sister Lilibet, born after the Sussexes’ departure, has not experienced a royal tour either.

Now that George, Charlotte, and Louis are all in school, they are unlikely to miss school for extended trips. In fact, on William and Kate’s recent tour to the Caribbean, the children stayed home.

Prince Louis’ long-awaited international debut will still be on hold, although it will likely come when he is a little older and can learn more during royal visits.

    Prince Louis’ future title

In March 2023, The Mirror reported on an agreement between King Charles and his brother, Prince Edward that would have Prince Louis, son of William and Kate, as his title.

Apparently, Charles wants the Duchy of Edinburgh, popularized by his father, to return to the crown when Edward dies and not be inherited by his son James, now Earl of Wessex.

When the dukedom returns to the crown, it would be Louis who would be the ideal candidate for the title. Prince George would become king in the future, so Louis being fourth in line to the throne is the perfect choice to be Duke of Edinburgh.
