Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton started their work week this Wednesday with a very special outing.
The royal couple took a trip to Wales, where they not only shared some confidences but also enjoyed many pleasant moments.
Wales holds special significance for William and Kate, as they spent part of their lives there before and after they were married, thanks to William’s work as a search and rescue pilot.
This visit also marked the couple’s return to Wales after more than a year, as Princess Kate had to curtail her royal activities while undergoing cancer treatment.

During their visit to Pontypridd, located in South Wales, on February 26, just ahead of the St. David’s Day celebration on March 1, William and Kate met with local residents and listened to the stories of those affected by the severe flooding that hit the region in December 2024.
The couple traveled by train and surprised commuters who couldn’t believe the royal couple was passing by on the platform.
Although William, 42, and Kate, 43, usually travel by royal motorcade or helicopter for their engagements, this is not the first time they have opted for the train.
Kate wore a smart red coat that echoed the Welsh flag, pairing it with subtle brown attire that continues her recent trend toward more understated colors.
Both she and William wore daffodils, the national flower of Wales and a symbol of St. David’s Day.
Once they arrived in Wales, the couple ventured to The Welsh Cake Shop, where they learned how to make traditional Welsh cakes and met with local entrepreneurs.
Later, they made a stop at the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, an open space created in January 2021 to encourage gardening, woodworking, knitting, and other community activities.
There, they were briefed on the impact of the recent flooding in the area and how the garden helps not only connect people but also build resilience through nature.
It was a full day of meaningful activities, highlighting the couple’s connection to Wales and their commitment to the community.
