The final photographs of Prince William and Princess Diana were taken a week before her tragic death.
These images represent the last public moments of mother and son together.
Princess Diana always put her children first and enjoyed sharing trips and special moments with them.
However, no one could have imagined that these would be the last photos of them together.
The Last Photos of Prince William and Princess Diana
On August 21, 1997, Prince William and Princess Diana were photographed walking down the street together as any mother and teenage son would do, not knowing that these would be the last pictures taken by the paparazzi.
Princess Diana wore a light beige suit with a brown belt, shoes and handbag, a white T-shirt and glasses on her head.
For his part, Prince William walked beside her, demonstrating his chivalry by walking on the side of the road. He wore jeans, a shirt, tennis shoes and a sweater.
These photographs were taken on a day when Diana and William met to go to a Tuscan restaurant called “King’s Road”.
They were both smiling and trying to avoid the attention of the cameras that were photographing them.
Ten days after these photos were taken, Diana was in Paris, France, with her partner Dodi Al-Fayed, where the tragic accident that took her life occurred.
Years later, Prince William revealed that he had a conversation with his mother hours before her death, giving these final photographs an even deeper meaning.
In an ITV documentary, William recounted the conversation with his mother, lamenting that it was such a short call in which he and Harry just wanted to say goodbye and get on with the game.
They would have acted differently if they had known it would be their last conversation with their mother.
