Amid a climate of speculation and controversy, Prince William, heir to the British throne, continues the royal agenda by opening the WEST youth center in Hammersmith, London, this Thursday, March 14, 2024.
The opening comes at a time when the royal family is facing a media crisis triggered by an altered photo of Kate Middleton and persistent rumors of the prince’s alleged infidelity with Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
Although rumors about Prince William’s relationship with the Marchioness began in 2019, they have recently resurfaced in the British press, particularly after publications in outlets such as The Independent offered detailed profiles of the Marchioness.
Prince William at a youth center in London
The Prince of Wales visited a new youth facility to highlight the importance of sport and physical activity in young people’s development and mental wellbeing.
The center, run by the OnSide organization, is supported by Prince William and Princess Kate, who believe strongly in the power of sport to promote personal and community growth.
During his visit, Prince William met with students from the local Ark White City Primary School and members of the WEST Youth Development Group, who were involved in planning the center.
Facilities include a gymnasium, fitness center, climbing wall, teaching kitchen, performing arts studio and cafeteria.
WEST, which stands for “Where Everyone Sticks Together,” also serves as an educational center for the local community and has a team of youth workers dedicated to supporting young people from across the West London area.
During the same visit, William spoke briefly about Kate. While engaged in one of the activities: baking. William joined the youngsters in decorating some cookies and said: “My wife is the arty one.”

Meeting between William and Harry
This Thursday, Prince William will be the guest of honor at the Diana Awards.
The gala will mark the 25th anniversary of the charity named after his mother, Princess Diana.
The foundation, which was established in 1999, two years after the Princess’s tragic death, will present the Legacy Awards to 20 outstanding young people.
The event will take place at the Science Museum in London, where Prince William will deliver a speech.
The day will also mark a significant, if low-key, reunion between Princes William and Harry, although a joint public appearance is not expected due to known tensions between the two brothers.
