In a convoy of three buses and two vans, guests began to arrive for the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, formerly England’s wealthiest bachelor.
Today, that title falls away as the Duke of Westminster weds Olivia Henson.
While the spotlight shone brightly on the happy couple, Prince William, who attended without Kate Middleton or their children, played a more understated role.

Prince William At Duke of Westminster’s Wedding
Prince William, heir to the British throne, arrived at Chester Cathedral, the venue for the nuptials, in one of the aforementioned vans, blending in with the other groomsmen.
Guillermo quickly headed inside the cathedral without greeting the media, keeping his intended low profile.
His appearance was highly anticipated, although it was expected that he would attend alone. Speculations had circulated weeks prior about the possibility of his eldest son, George, having a minor role in the ceremony, but this did not materialize.
The chance of Kate Middleton attending was ruled out months ago when it became public that she was battling cancer and would be out of the public eye for some time.
Despite this, Prince William was not entirely alone at this grand event. His cousin, Princess Eugenie of York, and Thomas Van Straubenzee, Charlotte’s godfather and a close friend of William, were also present.
Did Rose Hanbury attend the wedding?
A significant buzz surrounded the possible attendance of Rose Hanbury, who has been linked to the future king, especially during the difficult times of Kate Middleton’s illness.
However, neither the Marchioness of Cholmondeley nor her husband were seen arriving at the cathedral.
The potential public reunion of William and Rose Hanbury was a point of interest, but this moment did not occur, at least not upon arrival at the venue.
William’s quick entrance in a van and the bulk arrival of other guests in three buses made it challenging to capture everyone present.
