Prince William paid a visit to Britannia Royal Naval College at Dartmouth on December 14, where he inspected Royal Navy cadets and met with staff and students.
This was the first time the Prince had worn his naval uniform since 2010.
The visit coincides with the Netflix premiere of the latest episodes of the series “The Crown,” which explores his sudden fame in the 1990s and his romance with Kate Middleton.
Prince William at the Lord High Admiral’s Divisions
Wearing his impeccable blue Navy uniform with cap and sword, the 41-year-old Prince witnessed the traditional parade of The Lord High Admiral’s Divisions.
In this formation, 202 British Navy cadets paraded alongside international officer cadets from Oman, Kuwait, Bangladesh, and Trinidad and Tobago.
After inspecting the front rank of the Royal Marines Plymouth Guard and Band, William reviewed the ranks of the St. Vincent, Howe, and St. George’s Division.
Later, he held a meeting with staff and cadets on the historic Quarter Deck.
The cadets with whom the Prince spoke had just completed 29 intense weeks of training that saw them transition from civilians to junior naval officers.
During this time they underwent demanding tests both in the classroom and on Dartmoor, the River Dart, and the sea.
It is worth noting that William himself undertook a training course at Britannia Royal Naval College in 2008, following in the footsteps of his father Charles III, and grandfather Prince Philip.
Prince William was very smiling and pleasant throughout the visit.
