During the school vacations, Prince William and Princess Kate took the opportunity to escape the public spotlight and enjoy a few days with their three children: George, Charlotte and Louis.
Far from the tropical destinations they have chosen on previous occasions, this time they swapped the Caribbean for the snowy mountains of the French Alps, in an intimate getaway to the ski resort of Courchevel.
William & Kate’s Secret Ski Trip to Courchevel
The trip, which was kept secret until Paris Match magazine published a report with exclusive images, went off without a hitch.
In the photos, the Prince and Princess of Wales are seen descending the slopes wearing helmets and goggles, which made it difficult to recognize them.
They are also seen relaxing in common areas, sharing family moments like any other group of skiers.
In fact, according to the French publication, they managed to go almost unnoticed and not even the presence of their escorts disturbed the tranquility of the place.
Courchevel is not unfamiliar territory for the family. In 2016 they were already spotted at the same resort when George and Charlotte were just kids.
Now, with their children more grown up, the couple can share with them their fondness for skiing, an activity they have always enjoyed.
Although spring is already beginning to show in the mountains – and some areas are more bare of snow – this corner of the Alps remains one of the favorites for lovers of this sport.
The family would have spent several days there, although it has not been confirmed until when they will stay, since their official agendas are still empty due to the proximity of Easter.
In addition to skiing, there was another special moment during the trip. Prince William took advantage of his stay in France to attend a soccer match with Prince George at the Paris Saint-Germain stadium.
The home team was playing against Aston Villa, William’s favorite club. Although the result was not as expected, father and son thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
