Although the English team ended up losing 3-1, the visit to Paris was special for William.
Speaking to TNT Sports, he explained that he wanted his son to experience a big European match: “I want George to experience a night away from home in a big European competition”.
The prince also acknowledged that, although he says he is open to his children choosing their own teams, frequent visits to Villa’s stadium will probably influence their preference: “They’re going to probably support Villa”.
This was only the first leg of the tie, and Villa will have another chance to come back at home. In the meantime, the image of William and George celebrating is still making the rounds, and stealing the hearts of fans of the British royals.
