Kate Middleton has preferred to stay at home and let Prince William attend alone the wedding of Rose Farquhar, with whom the Prince of Wales had a brief relationship before going to college.
Prince William at the wedding of Rose Farquhar
Prince William had to go alone to the church of St. Mary the Virgin in Tetbury, Gloucestershire where the wedding of his friend, the singer Rose Farquha and George Gemmel, two great friends of the prince’s youth, took place.
Rose Farquhar is very popular in the UK for having participated in the English edition of ‘The Voice’, while her now brand new husband, George Gemmel, is a person whose family is very close to the Windsors. William and Rose have maintained a good friendship since they were teenagers, which is why the singer was invited to his wedding with Kate and also to Harry and Meghan’s wedding. However, Kate Middleton has decided not to attend the wedding.
The newlyweds left the church in a funny old Land Rover, a vehicle widely used in the English countryside, but very appropriate after the impressive snowfall that has fallen in the UK.
Days earlier, the Prince and Princess of Wales, accompanied by their two eldest children, attended the Christmas concert organized by Kate Middleton for the second consecutive year, which this time was dedicated to the recently deceased Elizabeth II. This will be the first Christmas without the presence of Queen Elizabeth and the first of Charles III as reigning monarch.
