Prince William has recently captured the hearts of many, earning the title of “heartthrob” after a video from the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London went viral on TikTok.
The event took place just days before William’s 42nd birthday on June 21, which coincides with the official birthday festivities for his father, King Charles III.
This year’s Trooping the Colour drew extra attention, partly because it marked Princess Kate’s first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.
Still undergoing chemotherapy, Kate had not been seen publicly since Christmas Day. Her return was marked by a striking black and white outfit, drawing comparisons to Audrey Hepburn’s iconic look in the 1964 film “My Fair Lady.”
However, Princess Kate wasn’t the only one making headlines.
Prince William’s ‘Heartthrob’ Moment Delights Fans
Prince William’s appearance in the traditional red tunic of the Welsh Guards, a regiment he has led as colonel since 2022, caught the eye of many fans on social media.
Riding in his full dress uniform and bear skin hat, William participated in the carriage procession, following King Charles and Queen Camilla.
He also observed the Irish Guards’ parade at Horse Guards Parade before joining the royal family for the customary balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace.
TikTok user @thewalesbrasil posted a video on June 17 highlighting William’s role in the event, which quickly gained over 344,000 views.
The footage, set in slow motion, showed William saluting the troops as rain fell, adding a dramatic flair to the scene.
It also captured his reaction to a military jet flypast over Buckingham Palace in honor of the king.
The video, titled “The Prince Of Wales” with a flame emoji, has garnered more than 25,500 likes and over 550 comments.
Fans couldn’t help but express their admiration for William. “The man’s still a total heartthrob,” one fan commented. Another added, “Hair or no hair… he’s gorgeous,” while a third noted, “What a beautiful sight to see, he’s so handsome.”
Just two days after Trooping the Colour, William participated in the annual Garter Day ceremonies at Windsor Castle.
As a member of the Order of the Garter, Britain’s oldest and most prestigious chivalric order, since 2008, he was seen in the traditional Tudor-style robes, walking in a procession with King Charles and Queen Camilla from the castle to St George’s Chapel.
