There were also rumors about a possible reunion between the brothers, William and Harry, but this meeting will not happen.
Prince William Visits Nansledan for Duchy’s Homelessness Project
Prince William is heading to Nansledan this Thursday to check out where the Duchy of Cornwall plans to build its first-ever housing project to help homeless people.
He’ll meet folks from the Duchy of Cornwall who are leading the project and see the spot where the new homes will go up for the first time.
The Duchy of Cornwall, along with St Petrocs, will work together on this project.
They aim to provide 24 homes with support for locals experiencing homelessness.
During his visit, Prince William will chat with St Petrocs’ CEO, Henry Meacock, and a resident from St Petrocs Newquay.
They’ll talk about how getting a home and support has changed their lives.
The Duchy of Cornwall will provide the land for the homes and lend its expertise in design and development to guide the project.
Construction starts in September 2024, and the first homes should be ready by autumn 2025.
The first phase will focus on creating cozy temporary homes with a clear path to permanent housing as it becomes available.
St Petrocs will help residents connect with the active community in Nansledan, offering training, job opportunities, and more permanent housing options.
After Nansledan, Prince William will head to Fistral Beach.
There, he’ll meet with organizations working to keep the beach safe during the upcoming summer months.
He’ll start by spending time with the Holywell Bay and Newquay Surf Life Saving Clubs, watching their life-saving training in action.
Then, he’ll meet lifeguards and staff from the RNLI, who provide safety services at Fistral Beach. They’ll talk about their work in keeping locals and tourists safe.
This year, the RNLI celebrates its 200th anniversary since it was founded in 1824.
On Friday, Prince William will make his first official visit to the Isles of Scilly since becoming Duke of Cornwall.
He’ll visit St Mary’s Harbour and meet with local businesses.
Later, he’ll go to St Mary’s Community Hospital to learn about plans for a new health and social care facility, set to be built on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall nearby.
