This Tuesday, December 10, Prince William showed his most affectionate and familiar side at a meeting in Wiltshire to pay tribute to the 1st Battalion of the Mercian Regiment.

As the Colonel-in-Chief, he met with soldiers and their families at Picton Barracks, Camp Bulford, and made it clear that he gets along wonderfully with the little ones.

He went around the ten tables in the mess hall, chatting with the soldiers, their wives, and children – he even likened the situation to a speed dating evening!

His sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. William was especially attentive to the children, with whom he played and joked.

Some of the little ones gave him a cute Santa Claus hat and a drawing.

When he saw it, he couldn’t help but make a joke, wondering if he really had five nostrils because of the size of his nose in the illustration.

What are Prince William’s Christmas plans?

The conversation flowed, and curious as always, the kids asked him about his Christmas plans.

The prince revealed that he is excited to celebrate the holidays with his family in Norfolk, following tradition.

He commented that this year they will gather nearly half a hundred members of the Windsor family, including his father, King Charles III.

Although he mentioned that he would share the Christmas lunch with 45 family members at Sandringham, he avoided going into details about the possible presence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have distanced themselves from the royal family after moving to the United States.

There was no shortage of festive spirit as Prince William helped hand out gifts to children under the Christmas tree before enjoying a vibrant performance by a Fijian choir made up of soldiers from the Mercian Regiment. Without a doubt, it was an event full of joy and family warmth.
