It seems that Prince William is interested in following in the footsteps of his brother, Prince Harry, and be the protagonist of his own documentary.
Recall that the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, were the stars of a documentary that generated great controversy, titled “Harry & Meghan,” which was released on Netflix in two installments.
The first part, “Harry & Meghan: A Global Event,” debuted on December 8, 2022, followed by the second part on December 15, 2022, where they shared their insights into royal life.
However, it is anticipated that William’s documentary will take a completely different approach.
What is Prince William’s new documentary about?
Prince William’s new documentary, titled “Prince William: We Can End Homelessness,” is an intimate and revealing look at the Homewards initiative, which is led by the Prince of Wales with the aim of addressing and mitigating homelessness in the United Kingdom.
Through a two-part documentary series, viewers are taken on a journey through the efforts and achievements of the first year of this ambitious five-year campaign.
The production, which will air on ITV this fall, promises to show the more human and compassionate side of the eldest son of King Charles III, as well as his commitment to one of the most significant causes of his life.
The documentary series will not only highlight the direct actions taken under the Homewards initiative, but will also feature moving interviews with individuals facing the adversity of homelessness, as well as those who have overcome this situation.
Princess Diana left a legacy of compassion and social commitment that has inspired Prince William in his fight against homelessness in the UK.
From an early age, the principles of empathy and solidarity instilled by Diana were fundamental to the development of the Homewards program.
Under their mother’s influence, William and Harry learned about the realities of life outside of royalty, visiting homeless shelters in secret, away from the gaze of the media.
The documentary series directed by BAFTA award winner Leo Burley.
“Over the past year we have spent time following Prince William and The Royal Foundation through the first year of the Homewards program. We’ve heard some incredibly moving stories from people across the country facing homelessness,” said the director.
These personal narratives aim to raise awareness and show the real impact of homelessness on society.
In addition, the documentary will highlight the work of various personalities and organizations that, like Prince William, dedicate their efforts to combat this social problem.
