Princess Anne of the UK has surprised many by appearing at UWC Atlantic College, the boarding school where Princess Leonor of Spain studies.
The daughter of Queen Elizabeth II has always been at the top of the list of the hardest-working royals, so it is not surprising that she fulfills her official duties anywhere in British territory.

The sister of King Charles moved to the prestigious college where the Infanta Sofia will also study because the grounds of the institution are also home to the headquarters of the National Coastguard Institution (NCI), of which Anne is the honorary patron.
The school has shared images of Charles III’s sister during her tour in which she can be seen chatting with the staff and taking an interest in their work.
It is not known at the moment if Princess Anne has had the opportunity to meet or greet the heir to the Spanish throne or the rest of the students.
The castle where the school operates dates back to the 12th century and is open to the sea, occupying an area of fifty hectares of forest and farmland.
Other royals who have visited have been Princess Diana of Wales in 1985 and 2014 Queen Elizabeth herself and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh.
“Yesterday (3 April) we were honored to welcome HRH Princess Royal to campus to visit the National Coastwatch Institute (NCI) St. Donats Bay Station, based at our seafront”.
As Royal Patron of the NCI, her Royal Highness met on-duty watchkeepers and NCI cadets made up of UWC Atlantic students and the Lord Lieutenant of the Vale of Glamorgan, Mrs. Morfudd Meredith, Naheed Bardai, UWC Atlantic Principal and Jill Longson, Chair of UWC Atlantic.
The NCI watch station has 27 volunteer watchkeepers from the local community and UWCA staff. It is operational four days per week and has been actively involved in six incidents.
For those who don’t know, watchkeepers monitor the coastline and surrounding sea and radio HM Coastguard if they have any concerns, such as people cut off by the tide or vessels in difficulty”, It has been part of the text posted on the school’s Instagram account.
